Privacy

Our company takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We want you to be aware of which data we store, the circumstances under which we store it and how we subsequently use it. When handling and processing personal data, we comply with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Usage data

You are not required to divulge any personal data in order to use our website. Each time you access one of our pages, data about your visit to the site is stored in a log file. The log files and usage statistics generated are made available to us by our web host. Because this data is not associated with any particular person, we are unable to determine which user has retrieved which data. Disclosure of this data to third parties does not take place. We wish to point out that there may be gaps in security when data is transmitted via the internet, for example when communicating via e-mail. It is not possible to guarantee end-to-end protection of data against access by third parties.

Contact information

Some of our offers and services are tailored to the individual and therefore require the entry of personal details. If this is the case, we will only use the data voluntarily provided by you – for example via e-mail – for the purpose that you intended, e.g. for us to contact you. Disclosure of this data to third parties does not take place.

The rights of data subjects

Pursuant to Article 15 et seq of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data subjects have the right to information about data held on them, to the correction, deletion and restriction of such data and to object to the processing of their data.

Furthermore, Article 13 Section 2(c) gives data subjects the right to withdraw consent to all future processing of their personal data if such processing falls under Article 6 Section 1(a) or Article 9 Section 2(a) of the GDPR. The legality of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to revocation is not affected.

However, revocation as well as non-provision of the required data usually results in failure to fulfil the purpose for which the data is collected. Should you wish to exercise your right in this regard, you must do so in writing. Please contact us by e-mail at datenschutz@marketing.dresden.de.

Deletion of personal data

Your personal data will be deleted when it has served its original purpose and we are under no legal obligation (e.g. statutory retention period) to retain it. The provisions set out in Article 17 of the GDPR in conjunction with Section 35 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) apply. If we are unable to delete data for legal, contractual, commercial or tax-related reasons, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted. Should you wish to exercise your right in this regard, you must do so in writing.

The right of data subjects to data portability

The company will ensure the right to data portability in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR. Data subjects have the right to receive a copy of their personal data in a standard machine-readable file format.

Cookie policy and Google Analytics

In order to provide services to our visitors, improve the experience of the visit, better understand our visitors and establish which settings apply to the visitor (country, language, etc), we use cookies.

We also use cookies to provide us with overall data, i.e. traffic and interaction on the website, trends and statistics. In this way, we can create a better website experience and improved tools for navigating the site. We use Google Analytics to do this.

Cookies are small information files that are sent to your computer via our website while you are navigating your way around it. These work in combination with the content of the website itself in order to capture and store information. For example, they are used to store and process the site’s session ID.

You can configure your computer to notify you every time a cookie is sent and/or to disable this function.

You can do this via your browser settings. There are slight differences between browsers, so check your browser’s help menu to see how to configure and customise cookie settings. If you disable cookies, you may not have access to some features that make the site more efficient, and some of our services will no longer work properly.

You may also prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) being shared with Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

More information can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information about Google Analytics and Data Protection).

On this website, Google Analytics code is supplemented by “gat._anonymizeIp();” in order to protect IP addresses through anonymisation (so-called IP masking).

Server log files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and saves information as so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request

This data cannot be assigned to any specific person. This data is not merged with data from other sources. We reserve the right to review this data if we become aware of any specific indications of unlawful usage.
