{"id":40974,"date":"2025-06-16T12:00:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-16T10:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dresden-magazin.com\/?page_id=40974"},"modified":"2026-02-25T15:14:21","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T14:14:21","slug":"accessibility-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dresden-magazin.com\/en\/accessibility-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessibility statement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><i><em>(Current status 25 February 2026)<\/em><\/i><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-einleitung\">Introduction<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dresden Marketing GmbH endeavours to make its website accessible to all users.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The requirements are based on Sections 3 and 4 of the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), which is based on Directive (EU) 2016\/2102.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the requirements of the <b>Barrier-Free Accessibility Act (BFSG)<\/b>, which transposed Directive (EU) 2019\/882 (European Accessibility Act) into German law, have been in force since <b>28 June 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diese Erkl\u00e4rung gilt f\u00fcr die Website: <a href=\"https:\/\/dresden-magazin.com\/en\/\"><strong>https:\/\/dresden-magazin.com\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Status of compliance with requirements<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The website is <b>partially compliant with the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assessment is based on:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Self-assessment dated 14 June 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technical review and implementation of identified measures by 25 February 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Template-Analyse (WordPress, Theme: Uku Child)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keyboard and screen reader tests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use of automated testing tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BIK-BITV self-test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Measures already implemented (as of 25 February 2026)<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Across pages<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visible keyboard focus during tab navigation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adding missing aria-label attributes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improvement of colour contrasts in accordance with WCAG AA (\u22654.5:1)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keyboard operability of the cookie consent dialogue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Header<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>aria label added to hamburger menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>aria label for close button added<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2018Skip to content\u2019 jump link implemented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Footer<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Correction of ARIA landmark roles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Semantically correct list structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alt text or decorative labelling of images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contrast optimisation in the footer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Podcasts \u2013 Accessibility<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) came into force on <b>28 June 2025<\/b>, we have been providing accessible transcripts for newly published podcasts.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an HTML-readable transcript on the respective post page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a transcript integrated into the podcast player with jump marks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a precise full verbatim transcription<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ensure good readability despite the high level of detail, various display formats were tested and optimised.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the podcast player has been technically adapted, as it was not originally designed to display transcripts.
